Exciting News!!!
4 new Go train stations have been recently announced by Metrolinx that will be in construction in 2019 in Oshawa and Clarington. The first step of the construction of the additions is to construct a new bridge over Highway 401 in Oshawa, to make accommodations for the 4 new stations there will have to be an additional 20 km of track added to the existing track. The two new commuter Go bus park and ride lots in Courtice and Oshawa will begin construction during this summer.
To accommodate these future Go train stations, Go transit has made plans to extend its service on Route 91, which currently travels from Newcastle to Oshawa, to include the additional stops at the Courtice and Ritson Park and Ride lots. Plans also include to build a 109 parking space lot at the Courtice Park and Ride lot, which is planned to open during the time period of the end of 2018 to the beginning of 2019. This new parking lot will be located west of Courtice Road and north of Baseline Road.
